Midnight Sins

Midnight Sins

Cara Maloan doesn’t look like a monster. In fact, the gorgeous blond nightclub singer possesses heavenly attributes that make Atlanta detective Todd Brooks sure there’s a higher power somewhere. But a twisted killer is leaving a trail of bodies in seedy hotel rooms across town. The male victims show no wounds–it’s as if the life was simply drained from them. And right now, mysterious Cara is Todd’s only suspect.

Cara knows it’s foolish to be so drawn to a man who thinks she’s a murderer. She also knows Detective Brooks would find the truth even harder to swallow. Cara is one of the Other, a race of powerful, paranormal creatures who live among humans. Cara’s particular abilities make men putty in her hands–all except this rugged, sexy-as-hell detective. But now someone, or something, has singled Cara out for serious payback…

As uneasy trust gives way to mind-blowing desire, Cara and Todd will go head-to-head with a killer whose mission is deeply personal, and who’s determined to serve up revenge that’s hotter than hellfire, and just as deadly…

Available Next Week – Red by Jordan Summers

Red

Red

What if Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf turned out to be the same person?

War is brewing in a near-future world where murder is all but unheard of and the existence of creatures known as the others has yet to be proven. In the end, one woman will face her fears to stand and fight.

An outsider searching for a place to belong, Gina Theresa Santiago, or Red as she’s known on the International Police Tactical Team (IPTT), knows all about adversity. Orphaned by tragedy at the tender age of nine, Red approaches her job with the kind of gusto that only someone trying to right the wrongs of the past can possess.

Raised by her grandfather, IPTT Commander Robert Santiago, Red becomes the first and only woman to reach the rank of officer on the elite force. Plagued by blackouts and missing time, Red fears the pressure and isolation of her job are getting to her…

Found a new author…Elisabeth Naughton

Stolen Fury is the first release Elisabeth Naughton coming December 30, 2008.
To unearth a centuries-old secret, an archaeologist must team up with the rakish thief who’s stolen both an ancient relic and her heart…
Stolen Fury

Stolen Fury

Oh, is he handsome. And charming. And sexy as all get out. Dr. Lisa Maxwell isn’t the type to go home with a guy she barely knows. But, hey, this is Italy and the red-blooded Rafe Sullivan seems much more enticing than cataloging a bunch of dusty artifacts.

After being fully seduced, Lisa wakes to an empty bed and, worse yet, an empty safe. She’s staked her career as an archaeologist on collecting the three Furies, a priceless set of ancient Greek reliefs. Now the one she had is gone. But Lisa won’t just get mad. She’ll get even.

She tracks Rafe to Florida, and finds the sparks between them blaze hotter than the Miami sun. He may still have her relic, but he’ll never find all three without her. And they’re not the only ones on the hunt. To beat the other treasure seekers, they’ll have to partner up—because suddenly Lisa and Rafe are in a race just to stay alive.

Save the world, buy a contemporary

I saw this on Dear Reader and Smart Bitches, Trashy Books.

I love contemporary romances, most of the ones I read are Harlequin/Silhoutte catagory romances. However Flat Out Sexy by Erin McCarthy is a book that I can’t wait to read. Do you read contemporary romances? If so who?

This would make a great birthday present…Shameless I know

My birthday is in two months from tomorrow and one of my favorite authors Jaci Burton will have a new book Unraveled releasing on December 23, 2008 from Samhain Publishing.

Unraveled

Unraveled

The greatest gift is getting what you never thought you wanted.

Mitch Magruder, rich, successful, wildly popular surfer and entrepreneur, is always on the lookout for the next big wave or the next great deal. So when he’s home for the holidays, he jumps at the chance to build one of his famous hotels right on the white, sandy, Florida beach where he grew up. The only thing standing in his way is Greta Mason.

Divorced with two children, Greta welcomes the struggle to make ends meet at the ramshackle beachfront motel her father left her. The motel means everything to her, and no amount of money—or hot nights of persuasion—offered by gorgeous, sexy Mitch is going to change her mind. No matter how much his touch unravels her defenses.

For once, Mitch finds he’s the one doing the chasing, and Greta’s doing more than throwing a monkey wrench into his perfectly orchestrated world. She’s making him think about things he’s never considered before, things other than the pursuit of money. Things like settling down with right woman.

Now if only he can convince her he wants more than hot sex, moonlit nights, and her hotel…

Warning: This book contains sun, sand, surf, bikinis, hot men in board shorts, talk of Christmas shopping (ack!) foreplay, midplay, afterplay, and all that deliciously naughty explicit sex (up against the wall, in a limo and…*gasp*…even in a bed!).

Doesn’t Mitch’s & Greta’s book sound wonderful? Don’t you think it would make a great birthday present?

*Sigh* I just love Mitch.

Talking Harlequin Intrigues

I have been reading Harlequin Intrigues for years and one of my favorite authors Delores Fossen has a new series Texas Paternity starting this month with Security Blanket.

Security Blanket

Security Blanket

Texas P.I. Quinn “Lucky” Bacelli had finally tracked down Marin Sheppard, a woman he was certain knew more about her missing criminal brother than she was letting on. And Lucky wasn’t the only one with that suspicion. Someone was willing to kill Marin and her son to get information. After coming to the rescue of the beautiful single mother and her baby boy, Lucky learned about her dangerous past and offered a pretend engagement. But as the connection between Marin’s child and a ruthless killer was revealed, the case became frighteningly more real than any he’d ever taken. And standing in as fiancé and father had left Lucky with everything to lose…
