What is everyone reading – looking for recommendations?

So what is everyone reading? I’m looking for recommendations. I need some suggestions of authors books who write: Shifters (wolves, cats, dragons), Highlanders or Vikings, time travel books?

  1. Hmm just finished the Wulf’s Den series by Marisa Chenery quick great reads. Also a new author for me that I just completed Teresa D’Amario SheWolf.

Happy reading, can’t wait to see other comments so I can get some pointers on new books.

  2. so glad that you asked…some of my favorites are
    Illona Andrews (Kate Daniels Series)
    Patricia Briggs (Mercedes Thompson series)
CT Adams (The Thrall Series) I think it is out of print, but I picked a set up on ebay
    Caitlin Kittredge (Nocturne City Series)
Laurell K Hamilton (Anita Blake Series)
and of course Charlaine Harris (Sookie Stackhouse Series)

I would love to hear what you think.

  3. Right now I’m reading Burning Wild, the third book in Christine Feehan’s series with leopard shifters, they are great, and recently I read Pamela Palmer’s Desire Untamed, her new series Feral Warriors. Next from my TBR shelf will be Donna Fletcher’s The Angel and the Highlander, I liked the earlier book, Under the Highlander’s Spell in her series about the Sinclair brothers.
And Deborah Cooke has a wonderful dragon series!

  4. Eva – I loved Burning Wild and I have Desire Untamed on my list. I didn’t think it was out yet so I’m green with envy 🙂

Hi Greta – I have read the folllowing and really liked them. Hope some of these strike your fancy 🙂

    Dragon Shifters:
G.A. Aiken – Dragon Actually and About a Dragon
Deborah Cooke – Kiss of Fire, Kiss of Fate, and Kiss of Fury
Allyson James – Dragon Heat, Black Dragon, and The Dragon Master

    Wolf Shifters:
    Sherrilyn Kenyon – Night Play
Morgan Hawke – Kiss of the Wolf
Jennifer St. Giles – Touch a Dark Wolf, The Lure of the Wolf, Kiss of Darkness, and Bride of the Wolf

    Highlanders and Time Travel:
Karen Marie Moning – Kiss of the Highlander, The Dark Highlander, The Immortal Highlander, Beyond the Highland Mist, Spell of the Highlander, To Tame a Highland Warrior, The Highlander’s Touch

    Highlanders and Wolves:
Kendra Leigh Castle – Wild Highland Magic and Call of the Highland Moon

  5. Right now I’m reading Amazon Ink by Lori Devoti – but that doesn’t fall into the genre you’re looking for.

I have read and enjoyed the following:

The Masters of Time series by Brenda Joyce
The Riley Jenson series by Keri Arthur
The Dragonfyre series by Deborah Cooke

But I have to say that my all time favorite series is –
The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon

  6. You’ve probably read Rachel Vincents Werecat series but, if not, it’s really good. I’ve just started getting into it lately.

  7. I just finished Virginia Kantra’s Children of the Sea books–selkie shifters–and they were really good. I’ve got Monica McCarty’s latest Highland trilogy on the TBR, but haven’t started yet…

  8. I’ve been reading Cynthia Eden’s earlier books and have enjoyed them. I’ve also read Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews. This is an excellent series and one of the few UF series that I still follow.

I’d be interested in finding some new shifter books to read, especially with cats. They’re my favorite, and I’ve read most of the ones on offer. I’m looking forward to Nalini Singh’s latest in the Psy series.

  9. I am currently reading The Jil Kismet serie by Lilith St-Crow

  10. I, too, love the Ilona Andews series.

I am currently reading the 3rd book in the Relics of Merlin series by Kathryne Kennedy…shifters and an alternate magical reality for historical england.

  11. Rachel Caine’s The Morganville Vampire series is great, I’m on book three and loving it!

  12. My Pamela Palmer is an ARC, I won it some weeks ago. I was happy to read on her website that there will be 9 books in the series, I like big cats!

  13. Have you read the Prime series by Susan Sizemore? They are great, you have vampires and were-people… Check it out (if you haven’t yet :))

  14. A lot of those mentioned already were on my list of recommendations too.

However I noticed no-one mentioned Vikings and timetravel together. If you like Vikings then you need to read Sandra Hill’s books.

She does some set entirely in the past, plus her later ones include time travel, with Vikings and humour in all of them 😀

  15. I just read an ARC of Sherrill Quinn’s second book in a new werewolf shifter trilogy. It’s called Seducing the Moon, and will be released July 28th I believe, the first book is called Daring the Moon and is still available. They are both very steamy and sexy, with a great story and lots of action.

  16. Hi Greta!

Right now I’m reading Faeries Gone Wild (excellent novellas)
    The Highwayman by Michele Hauf

If you’re looking for Highlander or time travel, why not have both and read Karen Marie Moning’s Highlander Series. Dark Highlander is my personal fav, but all great stories!
